Good Evening Everyone, 

"Namma Ranebennur" is a blog for our Ranebennurians, where we would share information regarding any events/programs and also some social awareness. 

You all know that, recently we completed our Chowdeshwari Jatra in the month of January. The procession started on 25th Jan at 7.30Pm from Talvar Galli (we call it as Taayiya Tavarumane) with all forms of worship. With a word to hear "Chowdavva Ninnalkudho Udho" Then the procession went through the main streets. Via Subhash Chowk, Doddapete, Kumbara Galli, Durga Circle etc.. During the procession, the devotees has took devi darshana and prayed for their good health, wealth. Also, there were many devotee who put their long floral wreaths to Chowdeshwati Devi we saw many number of different Art Teams like Dollu Kunita, drumsets, Bands, Team of guys playing with fire, Gombegala kunita, and the most attractive DJ system. From the small age kids to Old age people had moved their body for the songs playing in DJ. We did saw some girls and ladies were also moving their body where they were standing...

tongue emoticon tongue emoticonDancing in this procession was really a colorful. Even people were not aware that the time was 1.00 AM and still they weren't returned to home. Some group of guys were busy in taking selfies and enjoying with the few funny avatars of jokers, horse riding, varahavatara etc. 

Then in the next day morning on Tuesday, Goddess Chowdeshwari procession has reached the Gangajal Chowdeshwari temple in Medleri Road. After completing formal worships people started to coming for temple with their prespared sweet dishes like holige's, Kadubus, paayasa etc.. and the temple was fully crowded. When the clock turned to 7PM in the evening the people started to enter the Gamezone. Where they enjoyed the fair by playing joinwheel, ToraTora, BreakDance and other games. The kids were busy in playing Bike, Chotabheem's Car, helicopter and having some ice creams, popcorns etc.. The group of boys were enjoying their time in fair by playing the Ring Games, Ball games and taking selfies. People were returnes to home after playing games, purchasing bangles, home utensils, toys to their kids and other things. While returning to home they never forget to eat or take the parcel of Mirchi-Mandakki which completes your fair.  

Wednesday, which is the best day for meat-lovers. People grow or buy a new sheep or hen special for this fair. On the wednesday there will be the meat-offering for Devi. People put a tent nearby temple and offer their dish to devi. Then again in the evening people will rush into Game zone and enjoy their time in the Fair. Some of the boys will be playing Casino situated in the roadside. Some were getting profit and some were in loss. But they never worried about the profit or lost they just enjoyed it while playing.
Similary, the fair continues for the next three days and on the Saturday evening at 8.30PM Taayi Chowdeshwari Will return to Talwar Galli. Which officially ends the fair for this year. But even after the Devi's return, people who didn't played any games were rushing to GameZone and most of the womens were busy in shopping which really a hectic feeling for our Uncles.. tongue emoticon tongue emoticon Then at the last people had a spicy n delicious Mirchi-Mandakki for the last time in the fair and returned to their home. 

Here we end the Chowdeshwari Jatra 2016.. Let's pray, Goddess Chowdeshwari Devi to bless all the Ranebennurians.. Chowdavva Ninnalkudho Udho..!!!
